Loving people through their "stuff" is really hard. Being loved in our "stuff" is really hard.

Tough love.

Actually caring about someone and not liking them at the same time can cause a great pull.

Division.

Tug-of-war.

The greatest commandment is for us to love God with all our strength, mind, body and soul.(paraphrasing)
The next one is to love our neighbor as ourselves. It doesn't say we have to like them. Lord, show us how to love when we dont even like sometimes.

We must love them.
We must step in the gap and interceede. Pray.

I think it can become easy to sit in our own feelings and fester. Let our emotions become a cauldron bubbling over.
Isn't it true that we are all sinners?
Doesn't the Bible say that no sin is greater then the next?
Let he who has no sin cast the first stone? I mean, didn't they all walk away from the prostitute when Jesus said that??
So if this is the case, why is it that some sin carries more weight then others?? Some sin causes much more pain and grief.
Lord, help us to see through your eyes. You bore ALL sin on the cross, simultaneously, so we could be washed clean by Your blood.
We are in need of Your balm. Salve. Healing.
Lord it is so apparent that we need YOU!!
Not some of the time.
ALL OF THE TIME!!

Feeling the pull

I have been feeling the pull a lot lately to return to Zambia. The Orphan village has been completely funded by Jesus!! We needed only $30k more to complete it and it was given by a pastor who felt led by the Lord.

AWESOME!!!

One of the leaders of Breath of Heaven is currently there and has been posting pics on Facebook. I am missing the children and feel the call to return with the whole family.
I am praying that Gods timing be revealed
and the funds to be released....

Rain = dirt

I am beginning to think that my efforts are futile. Trying to maintain clean floors when I have a dog, cat, 3 children, and a husband who works in dirt.

Then to compound it with rainy days...

UGH.....why do I bother

Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.

Shhhh....

I am hiding from my sister mom, dont tell her where I am....

From the mouth of Babes

So my daughter wakes up before the sun did this morning. I was already up making coffee for my dear husband. As she is wiping the sleep from her eyes she says to me,"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good mamma."
At 6 yrs old, she wakes with praises on her tongue!!

Truth

A wise woman builds her home,
but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
Proverbs 14:1

Pride leads to conflict;
those who take advice are wise.
Proverbs 13:10

A gntle answer deflects anger,
but harsh words make tempers flare.

Mercy-compassionate treatment of those in distress

Grace-a virtue coming from God

Friend-one attached to another by affection or esteem

Forgiveness-allowing room for error or weakness

I think what I am feeling is great disappointment. In all of this,I think that is the most accurate emotion.

We cannot put neither man nor woman on a pedestal. There isn't anyone who is to be looked on as greater or better then anyone else. There are people, however, that are held to a higher accountability. People who have the know how to stop the sin or get the help needed to stop the sin as it encroaches. So it is there that my disappointment lies. The Bible warns us that sin is knocking at our doorstep waiting for the door to open. We have to be ever so careful to not even crack the door.

Sin makes you stupid though. It fogs up your goggles and turns your brain into mush. And its just like the Devil to make whatever it is that's going on feel good.

The Lord says that one sin is no greater then the other but some sins cause greater damage then others.

I suppose that God says that because all sin separates us from Him. We do have a friend in Jesus. When we screw up and hurt people, He will forgive us and restore us. It is Him who we can count on.

When all is lost, we can look to the sky and find this to be comforting...God smiling down on us with utter compassion, grace, and mercy. He is our friend.
